My illustration of a mink dressed up as a jewelwing damselfly!
Damselflies are relatives of dragonflies. Like dragonflies, they are predatory insects who grow up in the water, feeding on other insects as both nymphs and after they emerge as adults.
Minks are also predatory animals, eating fish, frogs, birds, and more. I thought that would be a fun connection to give this mink with his costume—an aquatic predator dressed up as another!
